Gi Group are looking for an experienced night van driver with a FLT (counterbalance) licence for a permanent role in Kettering, for a local food delivery company. This is a duel-purpose role that includes van driving, loading/unloading of vehicles, warehousing and forklift truck driving (counterbalance)

Salary

·        £32,175 per annum based on a 45hour week

·        OT paid after 45hours per week

Shift pattern

·        Sunday to Thursday shift pattern, start times below

Sunday: 23:00 start

Monday: 22:00 start

Tuesday: 22:00 start

Wednesday/Thursday am : 02:00am start (Thursday morning)

Thursday: 22:00 start

·        Finish times can vary depending on the day and volumes, flexibility is essential

The role

·        London Market Collection: Operating a company van to perform nightly collections from London market.

·        Goods Preparation: Sorting and palletising incoming goods with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

·        Forklift Operations: Safely operating a forklift to unload market collections, move heavy pallets, and organise the warehouse floor, this is using a counterbalance

·        Pre-loading: Organising the warehouse floor and pre-loading vehicles according to specific delivery routes.

·        Morning Dispatch: Assisting morning drivers with final loading to ensure a prompt and efficient departure.

·        Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting basic safety checks on the van at the start and end of every shift.

Requirements

·        In date UK licence for at least 1 year and minimum 6 months van driving experience

·        In date FLT licence, for counterbalance

·        Warehousing experience

·        Must be physically able to load and unload the van, handball involved

·        No more than 6 points on licence (only SP can be accepted)

·        Must be over 25 for insurance purposes
