About the Role:
As the Payroll Team Leader, you will take ownership of end-to-end Australia & New Zealand payroll processing. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will be responsible for managing a small skilled team, ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and upskilling your team to meet the evolving demands of the business.
Duties:
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of payroll for Australia & New Zealand
- Lead a small payroll team, providing hands-on support, guidance, and development.
- Compliance focus with in-depth local and international payroll regulations.
- Identify and drive process improvements to streamline payroll operations.
- Manage complex payroll queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Develop and mentor your team members, helping them grow in their roles.
- Assist with regular audits and reporting to ensure accurate payroll records.
Skills and Experience:
- SAP experience is essential for this role.
- Proven experience in processing ANZ payrolls.
- Previous leadership experience managing a small team
- In-depth understanding of AU and NZ payroll regulations and associated payroll best practices to ensure full compliance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and process optimization.
