About the Role
As Payroll Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day payroll operations and lead a small team to deliver accurate, compliant payroll processing. You’ll navigate award/EBA complexities, drive process improvements and work closely with HR, Finance and Operations across the business.
Key Duties
- Lead, mentor and support a small payroll team
- Manage end-to-end payroll for a varied FMCG workforce
- Ensure compliance with legislation, awards and superannuation requirements
- Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations and audits
- Identify process improvements and strengthen payroll controls
- Manage complex queries and provide expert payroll guidance to stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Strong payroll leadership experience, ideally within FMCG, or similar fast-paced environments
- Excellent understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and EBAs
- High level of technical payroll accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment
