About the Role

As Payroll Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day payroll operations and lead a small team to deliver accurate, compliant payroll processing. You’ll navigate award/EBA complexities, drive process improvements and work closely with HR, Finance and Operations across the business.

Key Duties

• Lead, mentor and support a small payroll team
• Manage end-to-end payroll for a varied FMCG workforce
• Ensure compliance with legislation, awards and superannuation requirements
• Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations and audits
• Identify process improvements and strengthen payroll controls
• Manage complex queries and provide expert payroll guidance to stakeholders

Skills & Experience

• Strong payroll leadership experience, ideally within FMCG, or similar fast-paced environments
• Excellent understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and EBAs
• High level of technical payroll accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment
