About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Payroll Manager who enjoys being across the detail but also having the scope to influence how things are done. You’ll lead a team of 3–4, managing a fortnightly payroll of around 1,200 employees.

This role suits someone with solid technical know-how who’s confident working through complexity & improving processes. You’ll work closely with the wider business to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and continue to build capability within your team. It’s a great chance to lead a strong, engaged group and help them grow even further.

Duties
• Manage end-to-end payroll for approximately 1,200 employees
• Lead and support a team of 3–4 payroll professionals
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time each fortnight
• Partner with Finance and People & Culture to improve processes and reporting
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and efficiencies
• Provide technical guidance on payroll and compliance matters
• Foster a positive team culture built on trust, collaboration, and growth

Skills and Experience
• Experience leading a payroll function in a complex or multi-site environment (aged care/community services or similar industry background will be highly regarded)
• Strong technical payroll knowledge with a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Confident, hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others
• Comfortable managing detail while also driving process improvements
• Collaborative communicator with the ability to influence across the business
• Background in aged care or similar industry experience is highly regarded
