Youth Engagement Officer

Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Youth Engagement Officer in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Main Responsibilities

As a Youth Engagement Officer, some of your responsibilities will be:

• To work primarily with children, young people and their families aged 5 to 19 (up to age 25 if they have SEND) as part of a team to ensure that appropriate statutory / early help assessments, intervention plans and exit strategies
• Deliver the additional support relevant to other age ranges of all at risk members of the family.
• To manage a mixed caseload, providing wrap-around support through early identification, prevention and intervention reducing risk factors associated with children and young people.
• To remove barriers to participation & engagement in JD&PS: FINAL YPS: Youth Support Case Worker v1.2 210115 3 Education, Employment & Training, integrating whole family, restorative and Youth work Practices as key approaches to engaging in positive learning activities.
• To participate in a multi-agency family support process, integrating restorative practice.

Requirements:

• Professional qualification in a child/youth or family related discipline, to a minimum of level three and / or a relevant degree.
• Willingness to work outside of contracted hours in the evenings and weekends subject to notice.
• Ability to work across the borough to meet young people and their families in school, community hub, home, different office building
