Project Controller

Project Controller (BBBH13067) Broughton, Wales

Salary: GBP30 - GBP35.03 per hour


On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Project Controller to join on an initial 12-month contract. As the Project Controller, you will support with managing business activities including operation, functional, and straight topics to enable the achievement of the annual and long-term objectives. Your role will cover a range activity enabling strategic development of the industrial system with a specific focus on digital and automation solutions to deliver rate-readiness and better than performance.

Pay: £35.03 per hour via Umbrella
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Contract: 12-month contract
Location: Broughton – hybrid working
IR35 Status: Inside
SC Clearance: Basic clearance

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in the preparation and creation of the strategic roadmap by proactively coordinating the creation, alignment, buy off and delivery of all relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out internal and external benchmarking
  • Work closely with the team to drive idea generation and execution
  • Lead analysis to identify opportunities and drive full cost base financial reductions with specific focus on attendance hours per set; Buy in the Make; fixed and semi-fixed costs; both short term and long term through OP and strategic planning
  • Lead and be the focal point for the digital and automation strategy:
  • Ensure Rate readiness planning: manage the investment plan to deliver programme requirements; act as the Interface with the programme organisation (VSM) and other support functions
  • Support the team in developing a transversal network that enables best practice sharing across the plant


Person Specification

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven project management skills with an agile mindset would be desirable
  • Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on business requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and rigor in assessing and compiling inputs always ensuring confidentiality
  • Proven experience/knowledge to prepare business cases
