Head of Logistics

Head of Logistics (BBBH172) Bellshill, Scotland

Salary: GBP50000 - GBP60000 per annum + plus excellent benefits

MRD Recruitment is actively looking for a Head of Logistics to work on a permanent basis for our Logistics Client. This role is based in Bellshill and reports into the Regional Director.

The successful Head of Logistics, based in Bellshill, will provide leadership, manage and control activities, whilst playing an active role in upholding company values and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

Job Requirements

  • Support the operation through the planning and deployment of resources to meet contractual obligations and in conjunction with the Head of Operations to deliver the business with the approved structure and budgeted hours
  • Ensure compliance through the provision of achievable routing plans and officer deployment
  • Support the quality of service and the continuous improvement agenda of those services
  • To ensure that all Logistics Centre colleagues are skilled and capable of carrying out their roles
  • Ensure Employees are managed, motivated and engaged through personal involvement and influence, to achieve optimal performance
  • Exemplify corporate values and hold the Logistics Centre team and peers to account to consistently align behaviours
  • Support the Regional Director in driving the corporate strategic agenda to continuously improve capability and performance through the development of people, diversity of the workforce, succession planning and strategic resourcing
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders in order to influence them positively towards supporting the company’s objectives
  • Fully support the fulfilment of all legal requirements and policies in relation to national fleet management
  • Any other Senior Leadership tasks that are required to deliver the contract and is deemed to be reasonable
