Parts Specialist

Parts Specialist (NE036JG) Aylesbury, England

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP31000 per annum + Pension, Holiday

The Company;

You would be joining a well-established and successful organisation who are recognised as being a leader in classic & vintage car restoration, who due to continued growth are looking to add a Parts Specialist to their successful engineering team. 

The role;

  • To manage the day-to-day enquiries and demands for parts from internal departments and external customers.
  • To manage the purchasing and supply of parts to fulfil the needs of internal and external customers.
  • To work closely with specialist suppliers to ensure supply lead-times are adhered to.
  • To manage the stock inventory of the company and to make recommendations for improvements in terms of quantities, qualities, suppliers, processes and additional items.
  • To work closely with the managing director to assist with the company’s short and long-term parts sales objectives and profit targets.
  • To ensure all necessary invoicing and estimates are produced accurately and within the time constraints as specified by the managing director.
  • To make recommendations for other profitable revenue opportunities.
  • To recommend and assist with relevant potential new marketing opportunities

Skills & Experience Required; 

  • You must have an automotive parts background with relevant IT systems knowledge and experience.
  • You must be computer literate and competent with mental arithmetic.
  • You must have a good command of the English language verbally and have legible hand-writing. 
  • You must have a good, confident telephone manner
  • You must be able to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels – in particular with overseas customers.

  • Experience with machine shop processes is desirable but not necessarily essential. For the right candidate with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, any necessary training will be provided.
  • This job is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has the desire to build a career within this specialist sector of the automotive industry.
  • You must have your own means of transport, or at least be able make your own transport arrangements, in order to get to and from our very rural place of work, at the appropriate times.
  • You must have a valid car driving licence with no more than 6 points for occasional collections or deliveries of parts/supplies as and when necessary.
