Our client;
We are working alongside an progressive research & development business based in West Oxfordshire, our client are at the forefront of developing new innovative optic technology, who due to business growth and new product introduction are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join their highly motivated engineering team.
The role;
You will be working alongside the development team to build product prototypes for development and testing. This will involve performing complex testing and assembly of products according to precise specifications and instructions. You will need to ensure that the finished product is of a high quality by performing final checks and adjustments for any defects. Proactively look for ways to improve our products, processes, working environment and operations and help us to assess the process and product capability by tracking yields, equipment cycle rates and other product data.
Key knowledge & Skills:
You should have knowledge of production processes and materials such as adhesives, laser cutting and the handling of small components. If you have experience of assembling high tolerance precision devices such as consumer electronics, optical systems or small electromagnetic devises and have worked on new products and technologies that are not yet well established
