About the role

The Academic Administrator is a key part-time role within the Academic function at the Melbourne campus, assisting the academic leadership, campus operations and Student Services teams to manage resources to improve the student experience.

Using a data-driven approach, you will support the scheduling and resource planning processes that underpin effective delivery of Learning and Teaching. Your analytical skills will support timely and targeted quality improvement activities at the campus. Your attention to detail will ensure the quality and accuracy of student data, thus enabling sound decision making. Your objectives will include

  • Support the development of the campus class timetables and schedules
  • Support the development of the campus staffing allocations
  • Ensure that SAE’s “Student at Risk” tracking and triage policies are applied to students.
  • Maintain quality academic records and student data
  • Perform data analysis and contribute to the quality improvement cycle
  • Undertake scheduling of student meetings with relevant personnel in support of 'Students At Risk' and student progression processes
  • Other duties to support the Campus Academic Leadership.

The person we seek will ideally have the following:

  • A Higher Education Degree
  • Experience in a tertiary provider
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other productivity applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to independently assess and prioritise work
  • Analytical skills relating to quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to engage face to face and remotely with a diverse range of stakeholder group, particularly students, staff and managers
