Victoria University of Wellington is currently looking for a Caretaker to join the Campus Care team. The role of Caretaker is mainly to provide caretaking services to the University community, includinmanaging access to buildings, setting up rooms, relocations, distributing milk, moving furniture, mail services, notifying maintenance requirements and faults as appropriate. You will also be involved in security services, emergency response and operational support including writing reports on activities and incidents to enable the smooth operation of the Campus Care team. 

Good physical fitness is essential to apply for the role.  You will also have the ability to complete work tasks within very tight timeframes. Additionally, you need to have a common sense approach to new and challenging situations which arise from time to time in the dynamic University environment. 

Essentials to apply for the role are: 

  • A clean Full Drivers Licence (manual) 
  • Basic computer skills including a good knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
