Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Victoria University of Wellington is currently looking for a Caretaker to join the Campus Care team. The role of Caretaker is mainly to provide caretaking services to the University community, including managing access to buildings, setting up rooms, relocations, distributing milk, moving furniture, mail services and other items as required, notifying maintenance requirements and faults as appropriate, security services, emergency response and operational support including writing reports on activities and incidents and other administrative duties required for the smooth operation of the Campus Care team.

Ō pūmanawa - About you 

Good physical fitness is essential to apply for the role.  You will also have the ability to complete work tasks within very tight timeframes. Additionally, you need to have a common-sense approach to new and challenging situations which arise from time to time in the dynamic University environment.

Essentials to apply for the role are:

  • A clean Full Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills including a good knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
