Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a School Administrator to join the School of English, Film, Theatre, Media and Communication, and Art History. The role involves administration support for staff and students across the School and as this position works cooperatively as part of the administration team, it requires a level of flexibility, and a can do attitude.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will be a motivated, people focused individual who has an approachable attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people. You will have attention to detail and have some experience in dealing with events. You will be an individual who can take the initiative, be able to problem solve and to remain calm under pressure.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in administrative roles.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure on order to manage competing and changing priorities.
  • Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to different audiences.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Capability to work as part of a team as well as having individual responsibilities.
