Emerging Māori Writer in Residence (50105) Kelburn, Wellington Central, New Zealand
Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington, is currently seeking an Emerging Māori Writer in Residence for three months in the first half of 2021.
This is an exciting new opportunity for emerging Māori Writers in Aotearoa.
Applications are invited from Māori writers in all areas of literary activity, including drama, fiction and poetry (page and performance), devised performance, creative non-fiction, graphic novels, etc. Projects may be written in English or te reo Māori.
Spend three months working on your latest project with backing from Victoria University of Wellington’s renowned creative writing school and Creative New Zealand.
There is a writer’s stipend of $15,000, a space to write and creative support.
