Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a permanent Lecturer in Philosophy (equivalent to tenured assistant professor). The starting date is 11 January 2023 (negotiable).

The Lecturer in Philosophy will have teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas: Metaphysics, Epistemology, Political Philosophy, Non-Western Philosophy, Continental Philosophy, History of Philosophy. A PhD must be in hand prior to taking up the appointment as Lecturer.

This role will require: preparation and delivery of graduate and undergraduate courses in Philosophy; an active research profile; and other teaching or administrative duties as agreed with the Head of School.
