Practice Nurse

Student Health at Victoria University is seeking two experienced practice nurses to join our clinical team on a permanent basis.

This is a clinical role, working with our team of nurses, general practitioners, and support staff to contribute to the delivery of effective quality primary care to Victoria University students in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will also work closely with Student Counselling, the Health Improvement Practitioner, the Health Coach, and other student support teams


You will have:

  • Broad experience in a primary health care setting
  • Experience in triaging and assessment of acute needs
  • Experience in sexual health and contraception would be an advantage
  • Empathy and interest in working with a diverse student population
  • Experience and interest in working in Māori and Pasifika health is an advantage
  • An ability to work independently with confidence
  • Proven experience using practice management software
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate from the Nursing Council of NZ 
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity
