Victoria University of Wellington is currently looking for a Security Assistant to support the Team Leader, Security Infrastructure and Systems in the delivery of efficient and effective security services at Victoria University of Wellington

You need to have the ability to complete work tasks within very tight timeframes. Additionally, you need to have a common sense approach to new and challenging situations which arise from time to time in the dynamic University environment.

Essentials to apply for the role are:

  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Security Systems and related equipment including closed circuit television (CCTV), electronic access control systems, and incident reporting systems.
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in Security related work.
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to Security.
  • A full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence (Manual & Automatic).
  • A good level of physical fitness.
