Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Future Student Adviser.

The role of the Future Student Adviser is to increase the number of domestic students at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington by promoting and providing information about the University and its programmes, with the aim of increasing participation, preparation, enrolment, and the smooth transition of all prospective students to university study.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and present engaging presentations to audiences from 5 to 500 people across various mediums.
  • Provide holistic course advice and information about the University’s programmes and services to support future students’ smooth transition to university study.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of our domestic student recruitment events.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You are passionate about working with people and helping them achieve their goals. You will be available to travel around Aotearoa to present to and engage with future students, their whānau and regional education communities.  

A bachelor’s degree and a full driver’s licence are essential. All our team needs to be available for travel outside Wellington and for working evenings and weekends. We would be happy to hear from our graduates and would provide training and support.
