Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Applications are invited from Registered Midwives with a Postgraduate Qualification to work part-time as tutors supporting the new Bachelor of Midwifery programme in the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Practice at Victoria University of Wellington.

The work involves assisting course coordinators with the marking of assessments, tutorials, and following student midwives in Clinical Learning Experiences for the Bachelor of Midwifery.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

It is expected that successful applicants will meet the below selection criteria:

Selection criteria – essential

  • Engaged in ongoing Postgraduate Study, Masters or PhD in the respective subject area;
  • Registered Midwife with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand;
  • Outgoing personality and an interest in the support and development of students;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Well organised and reliable;
  • Ability to work as a team member that includes academics & professional staff;
  • Willingness to follow school processes a must;

All applicants must be eligible to work in NZ and hold a relevant work visa.
