Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Asset Analyst. The Asset Analyst is a key team member located within the Asset Management team. 

As a team within Property Services, Asset Management’s central aim is to effectively manage the institution’s academic property portfolio. By developing and maintaining accurate property information we enable better long-term estate planning and property management. The information is used to prioritise and deliver property and infrastructure renewal across our campuses and to mitigate asset failure risk.

The Asset Analyst supports the Asset Manager with the delivery of the Asset Renewal Plan through provision of accurate and concise data and management information which is used for planning, reporting, and budgetary purposes. The Asset Analyst also assists with monitoring levels of service, identification of critical assets, and communicating with customers about planned works.  The Asset Analyst will also assist in the migration of data from existing systems to a new database platform.

We require someone with the following skills and experience: 

  • Sound knowledge of and experience in asset management planning, building construction, and/or Asset Management.
  • Ability to understand and manage large complex databases, ideally with scenario planning skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to use information for planning and reporting purposes.
  • A tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Asset Management, Estates Management, Building Services, or an appropriate technical trade qualification.
