Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The School of Economics and Finance, within the Wellington School of Business and Government, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator with an innovative approach and a ‘can do “attitude. The ideal candidate will be part of a friendly and supportive team delivering high-quality, accurate and timely administration services to the School’s academic staff and students.

This course administration focused position is located at Wellington School of Business and Government’s Pipitea Campus, close to Wellington Railway Station. The position makes a significant contribution to the operations of the School, providing dedicated administrative support to our academic staff and their teaching portfolios. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the school with a range of general administrative duties, as well as provide frontline services.

The successful applicant will have the ability to use initiative while working both independently on tasks, and collaboratively within the team to reach shared deadlines. Demonstrated high levels of both written and oral communication, along with the accuracy are an essential part of the skillset we are looking for. Experience within the tertiary sector would be an advantage.

This role calls for a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take the initiative and provide excellent administration support alongside process compliance. You will thrive in this role with your strong customer service focus, attention to detail, and self-management skills.

You will be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, who relishes working autonomously as well as contributing positively to a high performing team. You will need effective time management skills to balance meeting deadlines and maintain a high standard of service to both students and staff.
