Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaiwhakaako Ngaio/Professional Teaching Fellow in Midwifery (0.6 FTE) to teach into a number of our Bachelor of Midwifery courses. You will be expected to work closely with other academic staff and to be contributing member of the School team. This is a permanent position starting in late 2021.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your midwifery skills and experience to the School, which is uniquely located at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand's capital city. You would be joining a growing and dynamic midwifery programme at the Faculty of Health.

Key Requirements:

  • New Zealand Registered Midwife with a current practising certificate.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Experience in adult teaching in midwifery.
  • Some familiarity with teaching practice and educational technology.
  • Able to work co-operatively, respect and be open with others in a team setting in order to achieve results and team goals.
