We are a subsidiary business of Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington that has been newly established to grow short courses and micro-credentials for professional learners.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The Poutaki/Senior Programme Advisor (Māori) will develop, promote, manage and evaluate non-degree Māori courses and programmes through Wellington Uni-Professional Limited in two broad areas:

  1. Building cultural capability of professionals, workplaces and industries in a way that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te reo Māori, mātauranga Māori, and our relationships with iwi and Māori-related organisations.
  2. Meeting the workplace learning needs for Māori professionals and Māori organisations and businesses.

Ō pūmanawa – About you

This role requires:

  • Proven knowledge of te reo and tikanga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and mātauranga Māori
  • Proven understanding of adult education principles and practice.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities to ensure smooth workflow in a very dynamic team environment
