Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a full-time Lecturer to join the new Master of Nursing Practice programme in the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Practice.

The School is seeking a Pūkenga, Lecturer in Nursing to join our growing and dynamic school at Victoria University of Wellington within the Faculty of Health. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your skills and experience to our new Master of Nursing Practice.

The School is uniquely located at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand's capital city, with experienced academics and strong relationships with national policy and health service stakeholders to grow your research platform.    

 

Ō pūmanawa - About you

The successful applicant will be expected to teach into the new Master of Nursing Practice and existing postgraduate programmes, and to provide postgraduate research supervision at Masters and PhD level dependent on experience. 

The successful applicant will have/will be completing a doctoral qualification and have experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses, as well as supervising at the postgraduate level.  They will have an emerging record of scholarly research and commitment to working with research teams and seeking research funding.  

This is a permanent position and commences as soon as possible. 

Key Requirements:

  • A completed/be completing a doctoral qualification.
  • Experience in teaching health professionals, as well as supervising at the postgraduate level.
  • A record of scholarly research.
  • A commitment to working with research teams and seeking research funding.
