We are looking for a Business Specialist / Energy Storage & Solar Expert (Energy Storage Using High-Capacity Batteries & Photovoltaic)for one of our clients with the following details:
Duration and type of contract: 1 year renewable (CDIC)
Location: Montpellier (with the possibility of a2nd location in La Défense, Paris)
Start date: As soon as possible
Sector: Renewable Energy
Skills required :
- 3 to 5 years' experience in energy storage engineering using high-capacity batteries (PCS/EMS/BESS) and maintenance,
- Experience in the Renewable Energy and/or Oil & Gas sector,
- Mandatory expertise in photovoltaic/Solar Energy,
- Expertise in industrial design & maintenance (preventive/corrective maintenance),
- Specialist in so-called hybrid assets (Renewable + energy storage system),
- Experience in maintenance and operations engineering,
- Implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor and evaluate maintenance efficiency,
- Mandatory expertise in high-capacity battery storage engineering: PCS, EMS, BESS,
- Know-how in BESS management and operation,
- Experience on SEVESO sites would be an asset,
- Language required : fluency in French language.
Responsibilities:
The Business Specialist’s objective, in his/her field, is to increase the profitability, reliability and availability of power plants over the long term. He/she develops and applies an industrial approach to maintenance and operations engineering.
- Proposes the maintenance strategies to be adopted, and ensures their effectiveness and deployment,
- Contributes to the design of power plants by integrating the constraints and requirements relating to operation and maintenance,
- Creates and updates a repository of architectures and technical solutions (catalogues, standards),
- Validates all technical solutions resulting from project modifications,
- Provides technical support to operations and maintenance agencies to measure and optimise plant performance during the various stages of procurement and commissioning,
- Identifies complex projects and special operations to improve the technical and economic performance of assets,
- Identifies partners with the best technical solutions for the projects,
- Improves the performance of the operation and maintenance activity by : Analysing maintenance data to identify trends, recurring faults and opportunities for improvement,
- Proposing corrective actions and improvement plans to optimise maintenance performance,
- Setting up key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor and evaluate maintenance efficiency,
- Drafting, distributing and updating operational procedures and processes to ensure standardisation of the activity,
- Provides technical support to operations and maintenance agencies, ensuring the development of know-how and expertise by contributing to the drafting of associated instruction procedures,
- Working with OneTech and the Innovations Centre of the client, keeps abreast of technological advances and best practice in the field of maintenance (digitalisation, robotisation),
- Implements and steers the capitalisation and restitution of knowledge (knowledge management) in operations and maintenance,
- Contributes to the preparation of framework contracts and the selection of supplier(s),
- Monitors and participates in the evaluation of strategic suppliers.
