Head of T&I COMP3 (196/09/2024) Doha, Qatar
We are looking for a Head of T&I COMP3 for one of our clients with the following details:
Start Date: 15 SEP 2024
Location: Doha Qatar
Duration: 36 months
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Offshore survival certificate and be able to pass an offshore medical evaluation. OPITO certification is considered as a plus.
- 20+ years of experience with 10 years demonstrated T&I project management experience, and minimum 5 years experience offshore on installation vessels.
- Broad and extensive knowledge in offshore heavy lifts, pipeline/ cable laying, risers’ installation, load-out and transportation
- Worldwide experience with Offshore Installation Contractors. those involved in the Offshore projects.
- Knowledgeable in HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment processes and applications. Good knowledge of international codes / Standards
Key Accountabilities
- Understanding & familiarity of the Project scope and the technical, quality & safety requirements including the applicable regulations, the Project procedures and Company rules.
- Manage the review and validation of the technical and execution deliverables associated to the transportation & installation engineering and execution scope including:
- Structural scope including grillage and sea-fastening design, jacket launch and upending analysis, verification of installation lifting and rigging analysis, design, methods and procedures, pile drivability
- Topside installation scope including vessel suitability, stability and strength checks, motions analysis, impact loads, mooring analysis, transportation and installation limiting sea-states, transportation module structural checks, sea-fastening design, transportation analysis, load out strength checks.
- Naval architectural scope including vessel and barge stability, response and motions analysis, transportation analysis.
- Pipeline, risers & cables loadout, transportation and installation analysis
- Heavy lifts including analysis of critical heavy lifts, crane capacity analysis
- Manages marine assurance processes across all COMP3 marine operations activities – including vessel suitability assessments, marine assurance inspections and audits (e.g., OVID), marine warranty surveys, DP assurance
- Review and approve COMP3 T&I plans and schedule and ensure alignment with NFPS integrated plan and schedule, proper coordination with other QELNG Departments and other NFPS COMP’s Projects. Provide necessary input and assist to regular review of the overall integrated planning for Major Projects. Identify potential clashed and proposed mitigations measures.
- Focal point for implementing T&I safety leadership and safe execution of the work including adherence with QELNG work management systems regarding SIMOPS, permit to work and marine operations and assist COMP3 Project Manager and leadership team in delivering the Project Objectives.
- Participate to regular risks assessment and ensure all mitigations measures are safely and timely implemented.
- Technical review and approval of the T&I design and operational changes, deviations and exceptions in accordance with the Project Management of Change (PMOC) processes.
- Actively engage with QELNG OESS, Operations, Marine and Logistics organizations to solicit input, provide feedback and seek alignment with T&I execution plans
- Ensure that Contractor personnel and Company Team are qualified, trained and with suitable level of experience and expertise with respect to installation offshore activities.
- Prepare and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the COMP3 Project Manager and closely monitor the progress performance of the T&I scope. Any risk of delay and/or non conformance shall be immediately reported to the Project Manager and mitigations measures shall be proposed.
- Daily coordination meeting with offshore installation team. Provide and coordinate onshore technical and logistic assistance.
- Ability to identify problems and determine root cause and develop plan to mitigate or resolve them.
