JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties of the Junior Quality Engineer are the following:

  • Input Data analysis (documents, contract, specification, etc.)
  • Analysis on comparison of non-destructive testing methods for reactor pressure vessel forgings
  • Topical report elaboration (from first revision to final revision after submission of Customer comments)
  • Participate discussions with Customer, if necessary
  • Document modification and up to date during the report validation process by End user and STUK
  • Progress follow-up and reporting to senior engineer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR

  • Have a technical degree with proven experience in mechanical process and testing engineer in nuclear equipment manufacturing,
  • Very good knowledge of non-destructive testing methods :
  • Ultrasonic testing,
  • Magnetic and liquid penetrant testing,
  • Visual and measurement testing,
  • Good knowledge on destructive testing methods
  • Experience in quality assessment rules application in nuclear equipment fabrication, experience on reactor pressure vessel forgings is preferable,
  • High level of nuclear safety sensitivity,
  • Document writing capacity as well as a good level of oral English (fluent in English Language),
  • Versatile, Adaptable, Rigorous, Good interpersonal skills,
  • Good skill on MS office utilisation
  • The standards concerned: GOST, EN, ISO, ASTM, RCC-M and ASME
  • The regulatory framework applicable: Regulations of Russian, Finland, EU and American

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Metallurgy, Mechanical and process engineer with experience in NSSS equipment fabrication (+ quality control management)
  • Material science on metallurgy, mechanics education

Experience        

  • 3 years in nuclear NSSS equipment manufacturing
  • 5 years mechanical engineer in NSSS, with quality experience and NDT knowledge

Qualifications & Certificates      

  • UT/PT/MT/VT Level I (COFREND or ASNT) or equivalent
  • Site access

Language            

  • Fluent in English
  • + French and /or Russian is an advantage
