Purpose of Role

Support Project Managers in the planning and tracking of activities (engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, test) for a project.

Principal Accountabilities
|
- Work with Proposal Managers in the estimation of new project schedule.
- Work with Project Managers to establish the WBS, assigning durations, dependencies, resources and costs.
- Maintain and implement an up-to-date project time schedule and include PM@Dematic ‘Q’ gates and project deliverables.
- Monitor and track the progress achieved vs planned progress for the various project activities throughout the project life cycle: engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, testing and ramp-up support.
- Identify and anticipate risks of delays. This has to indicate clearly the critical path of activities and any deviations from the plan.
- Prepare Progress Monitoring System (Progress figures, unexpected documents revision,..) for all projects KPI (1st priority is to measure delay in engineering to implement/anticipate corrective actions)
- Provide support to the Project Manager & team on site in analyzing current status , give alerts and forecast possible deviations.
- With the Project Managers, proposes recovery plan to meet the baseline schedules.
- Prepares Internal regular Progress Reports with the Project Managers in order to highlight the potential activities delay on the projects (weekly or monthly: depending of the size of the project).
- Maintain good control over the schedule forecast of the execution and give accurate predictions of over or under spending in time.
- Support the Project Managers in Claim management in terms of schedule delay from the customer side.
- Work within and ensure full compliance with the PM@Dematic guidelines.
- Capability to develop procedure and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning measurement and scheduling of projects.

Knowledge & Experience Required
|
- Minimum HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Engineering degree desirable.
- Proficiency knowledge level of MS Project.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Good English level.
- Minimum 10-year experience in project planning.
