DSM Program Support Section Manager (Water and electricity) (JO015187) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Responsible for the administration of all the DSM programs and manages daily administration functions including financial analysis, accounting, marketing, and measurement and verification (M&V).

4. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Growth & Sustainability related :

  • Supervise and coordinate all Section functions, resources and strategies and ensure that these functions are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the development of overall departmental and also develop Section’s operating expenses budgets including manpower budget
  • Report on the overall performance and work progress of the Section
  •  Supervise and evaluate the work of staff under supervision, ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively and comply with policies and procedures

Customer related:

  •  Supervise all customer facing transactions in line with the company customer strategy resulting in higher satisfaction and timely delivery of services
  • Ensure that customer needs, problems and requests are recorded and addressed in a timely manner
  • Ensure the delivery of a world-class customer experience
  • Support the customer focused culture minimizing disruption to impacted customers ensuring customers are kept informed

Operational Excellence related:

  • Oversee financial analysis of DSM initiatives and cost accounting for them throughout implementation.
  • Oversee development of marketing and communications programs to all customer  groups to promote adoption of DSM initiatives, efficient technologies, and conservation behaviours.
  • Oversee a measurement and verification (M&V) program to ensure that energy and water savings are actually achieved.
  • Build and motivate an effective and efficient DSM Operations team. Support the development of a culture of high performance within the business units through coaching, regular feedback, performance management, and professional development.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all DSM programs are administered effectively with a balanced focus on customer satisfaction, process efficiency, quality assurance/control, and contribution to energy-saving targets.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to streamline/improve program operations to reduce costs, improve customer experience, and/or increase energy savings impacts.
  • Monitor program-level spending and projections to minimize risk of exceeding approved DSM program budgets.

Performance Driven Organization related:

  • Ensure that the performance of various tasks and the conduct of the staff in the Section are in accordance with the policies and procedures
  • Promote cross functional collaboration across the company business units
  • Ensure the availability of  required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the Section’s functions
  • Communicate the company, directorate and section level strategic objectives to ensure team is aware and understands them
  • Promote the company corporate culture and values through personal actions and coaching
  • Ensure timely completion of people performance management activities in the section
  • Perform performance appraisals of the team within the Section
  • Ensure that all staff acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs (in coordination with Talent Management department)
  • Ensure that all the technology needs of the section are identified to ensure that the processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively (in coordination with the IT department)

 

7. Qualifications & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years
