This SME electronics manufacturer has recently launched a series of new products. They now wish to appoint a dedicated manufacturing manager to represent the manufacturing operation at management level and to oversee the efficient transition of the manufacturing area to the most modern working methods and practices.

Primary responsibilities will include managing the people and process areas together with all planning and reporting activities for manufacturing to include the full implementation of an MRP system.

You will work closely with the engineering and management team to optimise processes and performance, control costs, manage operator training and health and safety and liaise with HR on all team and personnel matters including hiring, appraisals, return to works, disciplinary etc.

Our ideal candidate will be an experience production manager from within a manufacturing background.

A strongly self motivated team player you will possess excellent people and organisational skills backed by the ability to build and improve working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

With the new product launch imminent any experience of NPI would be an advantage (although not an essential quality).
