Salary: GBP450 - GBP515 per day

SQL Database Developer – SQL Server/Data Warehouse/T-SQL – Nuneaton

SQL Database Developer required to work for a leading client based in Nuneaton. You will come on board to design, develop and test and deliver reliable, stable and highly effective database solutions for the business that will support evidence-based analysis. You will be working very close with the Business Intelligence team, you will work closely with clients and BI Analysts to identify new business requirements.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Gather business requirements from key stakeholders
  • Create technical documentation, including specifications, test plans and final solution documentation
  • Develop, test and deliver stable, reliable databases in line with the specification
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, developing and maintaining the data integration and transformation Regularly communicate progress and recommendations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases

Skills required,

  • Knowledge and experience of database development using SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017
  • Experience of data warehouse / data mart design concepts
  • Strong hands on skills with SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures and query optimisation
  • Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles and application integration techniques
  • Google applications (mail, calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to accurately estimate the time and effort involved in tasks
  • Excellent time management

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working within a Logistics, Supply Chain, FMCG or Retail environment
  • Experience of BI visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects, Qlik etc.)
  • Development methodology, in particular Agile working
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
