Our client, a medical association in Washington, DC is seeking a temporary State Affiars Associate to support their busy team!
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 3-5+ years of experience in political operations, association, government consulting firms, lobbying firms, Capitol Hill, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes.
- Experience conducting legislative analysis, particularly of state legislation surrounding healthcare.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
The Job:
- Perform analysis of proposed state legislation, mainly surrounding healthcare
- Help formulate association’s response to potential regulations and legislation.
- Serve as liaison to other members of the medical community in order to form partnerships.
- Assist with creating content and planning activites for annual conference and other events.
- Assist with development and management of website.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
