We have a role for a Supplier Performance Engineer focussed on Security of Supply for 'at risk' suppliers.  Working for a client who has a global supply chain within engines. 

 

The role; 

Previous quality engineering and/or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment to include raw material, stamping, fabrications and assembly of detail components. 

  • Ability to lead, make decisions, problem solve and work within and with other teams.
  • Will have clear subject matter experience of delivering projects and programmes of similar complexity and size to those being undertaken by our client.
  • Experience of working across multiple manufacturing disciplines or sectors.
  • Proficient in MS office packages – Excel, Word and PowerPoint

 Main responsibilities;

  • Provide immediate rapid support for urgent gaps in supply impacting line stops
  • Responsible for implementing solutions and process improvements for supplier issues to ensure on-time delivery. Solutions to issues such as the coordination of shipments, sub-process suppliers and technical assistance to ensure on-time delivery and to identify root causes that impacts on-time delivery.
  • Lead Deep Dives to support programmes in resolving major issues and mitigating major risks.
  • Create Action Plan with relevant stakeholders to manage ECA (Emergency Corrective Actions), ICA (Interim Corrective Actions) and PCA (Permanent Corrective Actions) as appropriate.
  • Implements process improvements and deploy delivery assurance system to ensure early identification of shortages.
  • Manages delivery assurance processes and / or works to achieve day-to-day delivery assurance objectives.
  • Ensure that agreed KPIs for measurement of programme health are being appropriately collated and reported upon.
  • Collaborates with other departments (Quality, Buyers, Planning and Supplier Performance) as necessary with regard to meeting customer requirements, minimizing negative impacts on a business in the case of shortages.
  • Ensure that all participants and stakeholders are appropriately informed, involved and have visibility throughout each review period by use of a A3 style reporting summary
  • Reporting on Delivery Assurance status and progress, making sure tools are fit for purpose and documentation is up-to-date.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all materials required for the production of assigned complex components.
  • Tracks and manages Supplier work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow. 

 Required; 

  • Essential : M/CIPS Diploma Certificate (Level 6) or equivalent qualifications in other disciplines
  • Desirable: Six Sigma Black Belt certified
  • A key expertise in Supply Chain Performance: Project management, planning, procurement, inventory and score card management would be a highlight candidate.
