HR Advisor (Part-Time, FTC – Maternity Cover)
30–34 hours per week | £34,000–£37,000 FTE (DOE)

We are working with a leading UK technology business to recruit an experienced HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). This is a part-time role offering flexibility and the opportunity to work within a high-performing, people-focused environment.

The Role
You’ll provide proactive, commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and employees to ensure best practice and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice on policies, procedures and employment law
  • Manage employee relations cases (absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance)
  • Support performance management processes (probation, reviews, PIPs)
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
  • Manage offboarding processes including exits and redundancies
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor or senior HR admin role
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience managing ER casework and recruitment
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently
  • CIPD Level 3+ (desirable)
