Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor

Location: Slough
Salary: £35,000 + Overtime
Shift: 4 on, 4 off (7:00pm – 7:00am)

The Opportunity

Planet Recruitment are working in partnership with a growing and ambitious logistics business to recruit a Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company expanding its operations and customer base, offering long-term stability and progression.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing warehouse operations throughout the night shift while ensuring smooth transition into the day team.

The Role

As Night Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the night warehouse operation, leading a team, and ensuring all freight is handled efficiently, safely, and accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising warehouse operatives and coordinating night shift activities
• Acting as the key liaison for night operations staff and drivers
• Overseeing loading and unloading of company vehicles and trailers
• Supporting warehouse duties including handling cargo when required
• Building and breaking down aircraft pallets
• Checking all documentation against freight to ensure accuracy
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety compliance
• Reporting into senior management and providing detailed shift handovers
• Ensuring all operations run to schedule and deadlines are met

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in warehousing, transport or logistics (air cargo desirable)
• Proven experience operating MHE, particularly forklift trucks (up to 10-ton)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
