Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver

Location: Braintree

Hours: 6am until 3pm - 5 days out of 7 with a Saturday always off

Pay Rate: £13.34 - £14.63 per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Forklift Truck Driver to join our warehouse operations team. This role involves working across both chilled/freezer environments and ambient areas, ensuring stock is organised, picked, and maintained to company standards along with general forklift duties

Key Responsibilities

Freezer & Ambient Warehouse Duties

• Loading/unloading goods from trailers, containers, or racking, and moving materials efficiently within the facility.
• Performing pre-use checks, such as inspecting brakes, hydraulics, and tires, and reporting any defects immediately.
• Pick, pack, and move stock within freezer and ambient areas.
• Maintain correct stock rotation following FIFO principles.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out processes.
• Ensure all areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards.
• Use handheld scanners or warehouse systems to update stock information.
• Operate pallet trucks or other warehouse equipment (training provided if required).

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience (freezer/chilled environment preferred but not essential).

• Indate Counterbalance or Reach Truck Licence

• Comfortable working in cold temperatures with PPE supplied.

• Basic understanding of warehouse health & safety.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

• Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting where required.

• Ability to work weekends as it would be a 5 over 7 shift pattern
