This opportunity is suited to an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer who enjoys working across both cloud and on-prem infrastructure within a large-scale, enterprise technology environment.

You’ll play a key role in the design, implementation and ongoing support of critical infrastructure platforms, helping ensure systems remain secure, reliable and operationally efficient. The position works closely with infrastructure, integration, data and operational technology teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions that support business-critical services nationally.

This role offers broad exposure across Azure cloud technologies, hybrid infrastructure, security, automation and operational support, while also contributing to continuous improvement and future platform initiatives.

About the role

• Design, implement and support Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Manage and optimise cloud platforms to ensure performance, availability, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Support Windows server environments across both Azure and on-prem virtualised infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance cloud networking, firewalls, security controls and external connectivity solutions.
• Contribute to cloud security, patching, vulnerability remediation and systems hardening activities.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis across infrastructure services.
• Work closely with internal technology teams to support integration, automation and platform delivery initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with disaster recovery, continuity planning and operational resilience initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure services.

About you

• Strong experience working with Snowflake, including data platform optimisation, integration, governance and enterprise scale cloud data solutions.
• Strong experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure within enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments spanning cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, infrastructure security and platform governance principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services including networking, security, automation and storage technologies.
• Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation platforms and enterprise identity services.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across infrastructure and operational environments.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across infrastructure, development and operational technology teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications across Azure infrastructure or security highly regarded.
• Experience within large, multi-site environments will be highly beneficial.
