Position: Online Computer Science Tutor
Student: Year 10
Schedule: 5 hours/week (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday; slight flexibility available)
Location: Remote / Online
About the Role
We are seeking an empathetic and adaptable Online Tutor to provide 1-on-1 Computer Science support for a Year 10 student (NS). Due to health-related pain and fatigue, NS is currently learning remotely and needs tailored support to help build his academic confidence and engagement.
Key Responsibilities & Student Profile

Subject Support: Deliver engaging, accessible 1-on-1 Computer Science sessions tailored to the student's pace.

Level & Curriculum: Assess and pitch content appropriately. While currently working below age-related expectations in core subjects (English/Maths) and previously accessing lower-level curriculum materials, he is gaining confidence—content should challenge him without overwhelming him.

SEND Needs: Support a student with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Adapt teaching style to accommodate health-related fatigue and learning requirements.
Ideal Candidate

Strong background or experience teaching/tutoring Computer Science.

Proven experience supporting students with ASD / Special Educational Needs (SEND).

Patient, encouraging approach with a focus on building confidence.

Ability to deliver structured, highly supportive online sessions.
