Lead DevOps Engineer – Inside IR35/Azure DevOps/Azure Data Factory – Birmingham OR London
Lead DevOps Engineer required for a leading client based in Birmingham & London. You are coming on board to set up the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and supporting the development and operations of the Data Integration platform through tools, environments and practices.
You will be responsible for underpinning good development processes including managing tools and testing environments, central code control, maintaining development standards and writing quality software that helps automate systems.
A suitable candidate can be based at the Birmingham OR London office.

Key Skills,
- Extensive software development using Microsoft technologies
- Previous experience working on a MS Azure Platform
- MS DevOps (VSTS)
- Set up of a Continuous delivery pipeline including automated testing and deployment
- MS SQL Server 2014/17
- MS Azure Data Factory
- MS Azure Analysis Services – Tabular and DAX
- Reporting tools (Tableau or Power BI)
- Azure Components - Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, Azure Batch and Azure Databricks
- C# and Powershell
Responsibilities,
- Guide technical decisions within the team
- Help to refine the product backlog and roadmap planning
- Ensure stability, maintenance and enhancements of the Data Integration platform
Knowledge,
- Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Automation within infrastructure – pipelines, security integrations and repeat patterns
- Government Digital Services framework
- SOA (Service Oriented Archotecture), Microservices, web services (JSON and XML)
- Programing languages – SQL Server, .Net, C#, Java
- Enterprise Service Bus
- Data Warehousing – data lakes, data migration & big data
- Secure coding standards – OWASP
