Location: Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Territory: UK & Global Markets

Salary indication £40,000 - £65,000 (negotiable dependent on experience) + commission

Our client is currently building a next generation oncology innovation platform combining sustainable medicinal chemistry, specialist reagents, advanced drug delivery technologies and translational oncology research. Initially the successful candidate will focus on growing their expanding portfolio of molecular biology reagents, enzymes and research products. As they continue to evolve the role will expand into supporting commercial growth across our oncology discovery platform including specialist compounds, analogue libraries, formulation technologies and collaborative research.
The foundations are already in place. Existing market activity, customer engagement, and product development have created genuine opportunities, and they are looking for a commercially driven individual who can take ownership of this area and help turn potential into long-term success.

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across a portfolio of life science products and solutions.
You'll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in influencing future commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across academia, biotechnology, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
- Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline.
- Identify distributor and partnership opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts.
- Attend conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Gather market intelligence and identify emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to product launch initiatives and growth strategies.

Ideally, You'll Have
- A degree in a Life Science discipline.
- Experience selling into research, biotechnology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical markets.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- The ability to develop new business opportunities from concept through to close.
- A self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build something rather than simply maintain an existing territory.

Working Pattern
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Hybrid Working
- Monday & Friday: Working from home
- Tuesday to Thursday: Office based
Travel Requirements
- UK-focused role with international opportunities
- Typically 3-5 days of travel per month
- Opportunity to attend customer meetings, conferences, and industry events across the UK and overseas
