Mechanical Design FEA Engineer (24961/610) Port Talbot, Wales

Salary: GBP50000 - GBP53000 per annum + plus excellent benefits

An innovative company renowned for its design excellence and being a market leading player within their industry are looking for a Mechanical Design FEA Engineer to assist them with some lucrative new projects and add to its thriving Design team. This Company is growing year on year with their innovative products which is why they’re looking for an experienced FEA Analysis specialist in Mechanical Design who can share their expertise by being the go to person on site, this will naturally give this person huge scope for progression and development within the organisation as they’re a global brand who will recognize their abilities.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Lead engineering specific projects and tasks.
• Initiate and develop feasible, cost effective and reliable mechanical designs from concept through to production, that meet customer requirements and company objectives.
• Significantly contribute to the development of innovative processes and products.
• Mentor and train engineering associates, offering expert guidance to the engineering team on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide technical support in accordance with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Analyse and develop solutions to engineering problems related to products and systems or the causes of component failure.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other international sites, to meet customer requirements.
• Makes pragmatic decisions about technical trade-offs within engineering projects/tasks.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Must be in a role right now where you are the expert on FEA Analysis and Stress Calculations.
• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering. Masters’ degree in similar field desirable.
• 7+ years’ practical engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of industry codes.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage own workload in a fast turnaround environment is essential.
• Strong CAD abilities – SolidWorks preferred.
• Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft applications is essential, experience using SAP desirable.
• Must be customer focused, placing customer satisfaction high on list of priorities and having sound appreciation of current and future requirements of internal and external customers.
