London (North or South) / South Coast (Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Guildford)

A growing and technically focused business in the automatic and industrial door sector is expanding its engineering team due to a recent restructure and sustained contract wins across London and the South Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and skilled Automatic & Industrial Door Engineers to join a company that values its engineers, offers flexibility, and provides clear progression pathways.

With a strong technical support culture and a well-established team of engineers, this business combines the capability of a large firm with the flexibility and close-knit feel of a smaller team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintenance, and repair of automatic doors (60%) and industrial doors (40%).
  • Work on swing, sliding, and occasionally revolving doors (revolving experience not essential).
  • Handle shutters, domestic single-phase motors, and tube motors in commercial, retail, and hospital settings.
  • Provide quotations and estimates (tools provided).
  • Participate in a 1 in 5 to 1 in 7 call-out rota, covering jobs within 2 hours of your home base.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with automatic and industrial doors.
  • Experience with brands like Dormakaba, Record, Besam, or GEZE is advantageous.
  • Valid or recently held EN 16005, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, DHF, or ADSA qualifications (training provided if needed).
  • Strong work ethic, a customer-first approach, and a full UK driving licence.
