Structural Analysis Engineer (PR/001482) Berlin, Germany
Due to the nature of the project, applications are only open to candidates who are nationals of NATO member countries.
About the Role
My client is a defence stealth start-up building the next generation of aerospace systems and are looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to take ownership of the structural backbone of a high-performance rocket platform.
You will play a key role in defining, analysing, and validating structural performance, driving design iterations from early concepts through to tested, flight-ready hardware
This is a hands-on engineering role with real impact on hardware, not just analysis but decision-making that directly enables manufacturing and testing
What You’ll do
- Define load cases, boundary conditions, and acceptance criteria for primary and secondary structures
- Build, run, and document FEA models for composite and metallic components
- Analyse structural margins, failure modes, and performance limits
- Sign off on analysis to support hardware release to manufacturing and testing
- Develop and refine analysis methodologies and verification processes
- Correlate simulation results with test data, closing the verification loop
- Contribute to improving structural design practices and mentor others on analysis rigor
What You Bring
- MSc in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3 - 4 years of experience in structural analysis (aerospace, motorsport, or high-performance systems)
- Strong expertise in FEA (e.g. Abaqus, Nastran, Simcenter)
- Solid understanding of Structural mechanics
- Load cases and boundary conditions
- Failure criteria and margins
- Verification and validation processes
- Experience analysing metallic and/or composite structures
Nice to Have
- Experience with composite structures / laminate theory
- Work on pressure vessels, COPVs, or propulsion-related structures
- Python scripting for automation of FEA workflows
- Experience in rocket or launch vehicle structures teams
