Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will provide specialist diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic conditions. This role includes participation in the General Internal Medicine (GIM) on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence: Deliver high-quality consultant-led care in outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and the endoscopy suite.
Procedures: Perform advanced endoscopic procedures (e.g., gastroscopy, colonoscopy) in modern, state-of-the-art facilities.
Leadership: Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical audits and service development.
Education: Participate in undergraduate medical education and postgraduate training programs.
Essential Requirements
IMC Registration: Must be registered (or eligible for registration) in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland in the specialty of Gastroenterology.
Experience: Significant post-graduate experience in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate to patients, families, and colleagues.
