Duties
|
- Lead and advise the site teams on statutory regulations and company standards relating to good manufacturing practice, food safety, quality and environmental hygiene;
- Promote and develop technical service competency and continuously challenge and improve technical operational effectiveness;
- Ensure quality management systems, operating practices and process controls are developed, implemented and adhered to by staff to deliver consistent quality performance and good manufacturing practice;
- Develop initiatives which enhance the manufacturing operation through reduced costs and improved quality particularly in areas such as process monitoring and control;
- Deliver agreed KPI’s. These will include: consumer complaints, audit performance, extrinsic and internal (including FEMAS, BRC, pest control, hygiene % compliance to schedule etc.), training and development of team;
- Liaise in professional manner with customers in matters of a technical nature;
- Undertake routine inspections and site guidance at all group sites;
- Liaise with suppliers on all aspects of technical nature;
- Liaise with local and national authorities regarding site and food safety, customer complaints and environmental issue;
- Write up and verify product specifications.

Essential Skills

- Ability to work autonomously and with a team
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Ability to deal with a complexity of products
- Computer literate
- Ability to manage and train staff to a very high standard.
- Good management skills
- A food science qualification
- Full UK Driving licence
