FORKLIFT LABOURER

Working in partnership with a digital print company, we are recruiting a reliable, hardworking labourer with a valid UK driving license and Counterbalance license to work in the HU9 area of Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity that offers full time, ongoing work with the potential of a permanent role after just 12 weeks with a pay rate of (£12.21ph).

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Friday rotating shifts;

6am-1:30pm / 1:30pm-9pm

The Forklift Labourer role is a Temp to Perm position that will commence with immediate effect, however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this. Once you have completed 12 weeks work there will be opportunities for you to secure a permanent placement.

Job description

As a Forklift Labourer your day-to-day duties will consist of:

·      Assist with various manual tasks from time to time as required but the operational needs of the business for which training will be given if required.

·      Moving stock around the warehouse and making sure it was in a safe manor.

·      Ensuring good hygiene levels are maintained in defined factory areas with a food packaging environment.

·      Keeping external areas tidy in the close vicinity such as emptying multiple waste bins

·      Transporting goods and waste internally and externally between company areas using the Forklift between the different staff.  

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of a Forklift Labourer you must;

·      Have a valid counterbalance license with at least 2 years’ experience

·      Have a UK Driving license (essential for driving the forklift between sites)

·      Have experience working in the manufacturing industry

·      Be able to work to your own initiative

·      Be self-motivated and show a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure the job is done to a high standard with little supervision
