We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager with a background in the Food or FMCG sector who is looking to drive career forwards in a fast paced, dynamic food production environment. Our client is looking to expand their team after continued success and investment.
Within the role of Engineering Manager there will be a salary of up to £75,000 DOE along with other benefits including;

As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for;
- Ensure compliance with legislative, moral and European directive requirements.
- Ensure an environment and culture of safe working practices and behaviours, leading by example and setting and managing the health and safety of engineering staff including contractors.
- Recruit, manage and motivate staff via coaching, regular appraisal, mentoring, training, leadership-by-example and setting and monitoring team targets.
- Create, implement and manage both maintenance, staffing and capital expenditure budgets to achieve factory and business targets including supplier optimisation and minimal inventories.

Suitable Engineering Managers will have worked within the food sector previously and have managerial experience and can effectively manage a team of engineers, along with supporting qualifications within engineering. Able to delegate jobs and is a competent decision-maker, while working towards taking the team to the next level. Experience of creating a Lean enterprise culture with a professional continuous improvement qualification, eg. Six Sigma would be highly beneficial. As Engineering Manager, you will be working in a days based role.
