Logistics Administrator

Logistics Administrator (BBBH417) Grangemouth, Scotland

Salary: GBP28000 - GBP30000 per annum

MRD Recruitment is currently recruiting a Logistics Administrator for one of our logistics clients based in Grangemouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating transport information, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of logistics administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, drivers, and internal departments.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor deliveries and provide customers with regular updates.
  • Liaise with the transport planning team to resolve delivery queries and scheduling issues.
  • Raise and process transport documentation, delivery notes, and customer paperwork.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards prompt resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records using internal transport management systems.
  • Produce reports and update spreadsheets as required.
  • Support the wider operations and administration team with general office duties.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administration role within logistics, transport, or haulage is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience using transport management systems (TMS) would be advantageous.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
