Salary: GBP32000 - GBP33000 per annum + panama shifts (every other weekend off)

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical fitter / Maintenance Engineer for a world-renowned manufacturing company based in Poole.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  •  Maintenance of plant and equipment as necessary to ensure the effective running of the production facility.
  • Taking direct responsibility for fault diagnosis, rectification and modification of production plant and breakdwons of machinery.
  • Responding quickly and effectively as possible to plant and machinery breakdowns.
  • To understand the layout of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
  • Developing the site PPM programme, implementing and recommending improvements. PPMs to be completed during 4 shift patten
  • To support the successful introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services.
  • To operate panel vision driven equipment.
  •  Liaise with Maintenance Manager to arrange the purchase of equipment, materials and/or parts as necessary.
  • To contribute to the compilation and production of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • To comply with Company policies, health & safety and quality & hygiene standards
  • To contribute towards  Company efficiency and improvement activities in line with site objectives.

 

Essential Skills/Experince

  • Time served and/or completed a recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing (production line environment)
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to take responsibility for running of shift
  • Multi-skilled
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Previous experience in manufacturing (production line environment)
  • Basic PLC and drive knowledge (Siemens)
  • 17th Edition qualified
