Skilled Production Operatives

Siemens Gamesa through their recruitment partner Adecco are interested in hearing from committed individuals to support their operation at the SGRE factory in Hull. You will work in support of the innovative industry of Wind Power producing Siemens Gamsea 81 m blades. 

Various roles available across different segments of the business for immediate starts:

Segment 2 – working in a team laying sheets of fibreglass onto the mould of the blade, using hand tools, following H&S regulations.

Segment 3 - working in the GRP/sanding/grinding department and must have previous trade background or GRP.

Successful candidates will receive a full week’s training at the Hull factory which will be factory and classroom based.

We are looking for candidates who possess very high levels of attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions in a logical and safe manner. If you have a passion for delivering quality and work well within a team environment this could be the job for you. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is essential, however we will also consider candidates who can demonstrate their ability to follow instructions and work well as a team player.

Job Duties:

• Organise and use materials, tools and equipment
• Plan and lay out work
• Follow strict engineering specifications and quality standards
• Check and monitor constantly ensuring very high levels of attention to detail
• You must ensure complex processes are followed exactly, failure to do this could damage a blade and the cost and lost time of this happening is excessive
• You will be working as part of a close team and you’ll need to build excellent relationships
• Roles in the plant are safety critical and random drug and alcohol tests will be carried out - failing this test could result in dismissal
• Follow instructions exactly as you are directed and do not take short cuts or implement process improvements without following the correct procedure

• Long term position (potential for temp-to-perm contract, after qualifying period based on the requirement for permanent requirement and performance).

• Working Hours 0630-1830 & 1830-0630 - 12 hour shifts across days, nights and every other weekend (2 weeks on day shift, 2 weeks on night shift).

• £11.16p/h rising to £13.31ph+ (Seg 2), £14.31 ph+ (Seg 3) after 12 weeks continuous service

• Holidays - 20 per annum + Statutory Bank Holidays (29) rising to 35 per annum (after 12-week qualifying period)
